Steve came from Victoria in 1978 to start his radio career at 6KG in Kalgoorlie. After short stints there and at 6IX, he spent over 30 years at 6PR and 96fm, variously presenting talk radio (with and without Bob Maumill), racing, sport and news, as well as his first – and constant - love, programming and playing music.

During that time he devised, developed and presented two long-running and much admired Perth radio programs: Australian music show “Aussie Rules” (96fm 1985 – 1993) and history based “The Way We Were” (6PR 2001 – 2014).

Steve’s passionate support of original Perth music was acknowledged when he was made an inaugural inductee into the WA Music Hall of Fame.

He says his Sunday evening program on Curtin Radio is “pretty much what I dreamed of doing when I started, I just got a bit sidetracked along the way”.
