IT'S OVER FOR ANOTHER YEAR...... 

The 2009 Radiothon appeal commenced during Peter Newman's breakfast show on Wednesday 27th May and concluded at 1:00pm on Sunday 31st May. We believe that it was probably the busiest Radiothon ever and to all the volunteers who worked so hard, a sincere thank you.

The final total was $102,210 and this was made up through donations from listeners ranging from $2,000 to $5.00. The total number of donors was 2,434.
Curtin FM generates approximately 15% of its funds from fundraising activities (the remainder comes from on air sponsorship) and radiothon is the biggest single fundraiser conducted throughout the year.
The amount generated exceeded Station expectations and is testament to the generosity and loyalty of Curtin FM listeners.
During the duration of radiothon over 80 volunteers assisted in taking calls, collating pledges and assisting in the smooth running of what is a very large operation.
Not only are the funds very welcome but it also shows the strength of support that there is in the community with the listeners.

Major prize announced - Curtin FM is proud to announce that this year the major prize is a HYUNDAI GETZ sedan valued at $15,000 00 and kindly provided with the cooperation of the John Hughes Group. Other major prizes - Green Island Travel and Tours located on Albany Highway in Victoria Park have donated a wonderful holiday. Green Island Travel and Apavou Hotels resort have combined to offer  return airfares and 5 nights accomodation in MAURITIUS, staying at the Platation Resort. The prize includes air fares for two, 5 nights accomodation at the Plantation resort, with daily breakfast and dinner and all taxes. Once again our good friends at Engel are supporting our radiothon and Les Budd at Engel has donated two items that will make up the one prize. Firstly is a the 40 litre capacity MT45f car fridge which has a R.R.P. of $1299. With it comes the ST95f 80 litre capacity fridge. This free standing, tri-powered fridge, is suitable for caravan, motor home, boat or as a bar fridge, and its R.R.P. is $1399.
